With more than 20 years of litigation experience and as a Partner at Pleiss Sitar McGrath Gates & Ajello, Sarah Gates defends professional negligence, wrongful death, elder abuse as well as general negligence claims. Ms. Gates uses her knowledge of all aspects of pre-trial litigation to guide her clients through this complex process. Ms. Gates’ experience extends to case investigation, clinical evaluation, discovery, witness preparation and trial.
With respect to discovery and motion practice, Ms. Gates provides comprehensive and strategically innovative defenses on behalf of the long term care operator. Her experience includes management of large scale discovery and e-discovery projects, document collection and review as well as overall project management.
Ms. Gates graduated from California State University, San Bernardino with a Business Administration degree and obtained her Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles in 2003. While at Southwestern, she was active in the Moot Court Honors Program, competing in the National Labor and Employment Law competition in New York City, and the International Information and Technology Competition in Chicago. Ms. Gates was also a member of the Moot Court Board of Governors. She was admitted to the California State Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in 2003. She is also a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI).
